## How does it work?

**Forward calculation:**
1. Discount amount = original price x (discount% / 100)
2. Sale price = original price - discount amount
3. Tax amount = sale price x (tax% / 100)
4. Final price = sale price + tax amount

**Reverse calculation:**
1. Discount amount = original price - sale price
2. Discount% = (discount amount / original price) x 100

- $99.99 at 20% off → $79.99 (save $20.00)
- $149.99 at 30% off with 8.5% tax → $113.39 final
- Original $80, sale $60 → 25% discount
