## What does this tool do?

The Salary Calculator converts a salary amount from one pay period to all other standard pay periods. Enter an amount, select the input period, and instantly see the equivalent for every period.

## What inputs does it accept?

- **Amount** — the salary figure to convert (e.g. 50000)
- **Pay period** — which period the amount represents (Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Semi-Monthly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual)
- **Hours per week** — customisable work hours per week (default: 40)

## What does it calculate?

All eight pay-period equivalents based on these assumptions:
- 52 weeks per year
- 5 work days per week (260 per year)
- Hours per day derived from hours per week / 5
- 26 bi-weekly periods, 24 semi-monthly periods, 12 months, 4 quarters

## Examples

- $50,000 annual at 40 hrs/week -> $24.04/hr, $192.31/day, $961.54/week
- $25/hr at 40 hrs/week -> $52,000/year
- $25/hr at 30 hrs/week -> $39,000/year
