Frequently Asked Questions

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is the number of calories your body burns at complete rest to maintain basic functions like breathing, circulation, and cell production.

BMR is calories burned at rest. TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) adds calories from daily activities and exercise on top of BMR, giving you your actual daily calorie needs.

The Mifflin-St Jeor equation is the most accurate: for men, BMR = 10 x weight(kg) + 6.25 x height(cm) - 5 x age - 5. For women, subtract 161 instead of 5.
